Jonathan has been working in video and photography since 2006, when he decided to leave his career in the corporate sector and earn an BA (Hons) Degree in Photography from the University of the Arts, London.
He has won awards and nominations for Freelancer of the Year and New Business of the Year at the Natwest Creative Enterprise Awards and earned an honourable mention for achievements since graduating from The University of the Arts, Camberwell.
Jonathan was given the prestigious title of Discovery Channel's 'Chief Adventure Officer' in 2012 and has screened a selection of films at the Royal Geographical Society, London. He has worked with a number of youth charities, most proudly working on a youth outreach programme with the British Exploring Society on three international projects.
He is an avid explorer and has undertaken expeditions to Norway, Sweden, Sinai, Iceland, South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, India, Nepal, China and Tibet. During April 2015, Jonathan was a member of the World's Highest Dinner Party team, attempting to climb the North Col of Mt. Everest in an effort to raise £100,000 for charity. His team were climbing at 24000ft (6200m) when the two earthquakes struck, sadly taking many lives on the south side of the mountain and thousands more in Nepal. His team were all fortunate enough to return home unharmed.
Jonathan's next expeditions will include 'The Icarus Trophy' (a solo flying race by paramotor along the west coast of America), a football match on the international date line between Alaska and Siberia and a record-breaking attempt to fly around the world in a helicopter in fewer than ten days.
As well as working on his expedition photography and filmmaking, he also works as a Director of Photography on short-films and commercial projects. His next projects involves co-directing and filming a London-based web series and setting up an international photography holiday business . He also owns a creative agency in central London called Third Revolution Media, offering a wide variety of creative services to businesses all over the world.
Outside of his regular business commitments and expeditions, Jonathan is a part-time photography teacher, climber and member of a penny-farthing polo team.
